The successful candidate will oversee the acquisition and analysis of research PET data and actively contribute to the activities of the Research PET Core. This includes attending weekly Core meetings, participating in scan sessions, and engaging in other Core-related efforts.
They will also collaborate with investigators in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health who utilize PET imaging in their research, to design protocols, perform and provide guidance on kinetic analysis of acquired data and statistical interpretation of results.
The candidate will also pursue their own line of research within the areas of PET methodology and PET pharmacokinetic modeling as well as participate in clinical research. Towards this end, they will be expected to develop proposals incorporating PET imaging components and solicit funding from public and private sponsors such as the NIH and BBRF. Experience with the uMI NeuroEXPLORER PET-CT system is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD, MD or MD & PhD.
- Experience in all aspects of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) neuroimaging as demonstrated by a track record of first or senior author publications and conference presentations in both methodology and clinical research.
- Demonstrated experience with pharmacokinetic modeling, both at the theoretical and applied levels, PET physics, statistical methods relevant to PET neuroimaging and imaging studies including research subjects from clinical populations such as those with psychiatric conditions or neurodegenerative disorders and/or imaging studies in human research participants elucidating neurobiology or image analysis techniques.
- Two or more years of post-graduate work in a methodology-oriented PET research lab.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the uMI NeuroEXPLORER PET-CT system.
