Reporting to the Director of Administrative Systems, the Integration Specialist/Programmer will maintain, test, analyze and develop applications mostly as part of our Ellucian Colleague ERP System but also including other Ellucian applications used at BHCC. The person will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful API integrations. This person will work with the Administrative Systems team to develop and maintain integrations using different software including SSIS. The person will also manage and check the overall health and functionality of the applications and integrations. This person will provide technical support as needed. This is a hybrid position primarily remote with onsite when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance, test, analyze, integration, and development of applications administered by Administrative Systems, which includes the Ellucian Colleague ERP Suite, other Ellucian applications and a number of other vendors' applications.
- Develop and maintain RESTful API integrations between Ellucian Colleague ERP and other software.
- Work with the team members to develop and maintain applications integrations using various integrations software.
- Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries, views, functions, stored procedures.
- Develop and maintain detailed written technical specifications for developed solutions.
- Provide technical assistance to the user community when necessary.
- Consult with end users to gather information about needs, objectives, functions, and features requirements.
- Stay current with Ellucian and other software technologies maintained by Administrative Systems.
- Provide accurate updates on projects, change control requests and operational issues in the environment.
- Troubleshoot software and integration outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and three years or more of experience in C# .NET, GitHub, RESTful API development.
- proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Proficiency writing SQL queries, views, functions.
- Technical documentation skills.
- Strong organizational, analytic, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to speak with end-users and assist them with articulating their needs accurately.
- Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Five years of C#/.NET Programming experience.
- Understanding of Ellucian Colleague db.
- Experience with Knockout.js, jQuery and React.
- Experience with Informatica.
- Comprehensive understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of Power shell Administration.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $103,000.00-$113,000.00 Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education & Experience.
