The Department of Pediatrics of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is recruiting a faculty member for the Section of Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
The faculty members clinical and educational responsibilities will include a mix of direct ambulatory patient care and resident precepting in the Medicine and Pediatrics Primary Care Center. This shared attending resident model practice provides preventive, urgent and chronic care for a diverse patient base and is the primary continuity training site for the programs 16 residents.
The successful candidate would possess strong clinical skills, be highly committed to teaching and to providing patient centered care to a diverse patient population.
Qualified candidates must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and possess or be eligible for a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Rhode Island. There are opportunities to incorporate in patient care, Ql and administrative roles and participate in divisional and departmental collaborative research. All section faculty participate actively in resident education, recruitment and advising.
The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Departments of Pediatrics and Medicine at an academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications. If hired at the associate professor level, the candidate must have a national reputation and scholarly achievements.
