Job Description:
We are seeking instructors dedicated to excellence in teaching who desire to make a difference in the lives of our students. Teaching assignments will be located at the Riverland campus of Albert Lea. The instructor may be assigned to teach in a traditional classroom and lab format as well as online, hybrid and interactive television formats. Classes meet during daytime hours.
The candidate must be able to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and college laboratory assistants in lab settings, demonstrate knowledge of and experience in assessment of student learning outcomes, participate in department meetings, curriculum development, and college-wide committees, and maintain ongoing professional development activities.

Required Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirement
- Associate degree from an automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanic systems or fluid power program.
Occupational Experience Requirement
- Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automated systems and mechatronics, electrical/mechanic, or fluid power.
Recency Requirement
- One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Preferred Qualifications:
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Robotics, PLC, Electrical and Pneumatic Systems;
- Ability to provide leadership in curriculum development and academic assessment activities;
- Commitment to departmental participation, vision, and planning;
- Ability to work with a diverse student body including multilingual or multicultural and underserved populations.
Other Requirements:
This is a new program start up. A start date of November 2022 for instructor to work on curriculum development, equipment purchases prior to the Fall 2023 course offerings.
