About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities: Studies within the lab include both health and clinical populations including, but not limited to depression, anxiety, and schizophrenia. The individual will assist with all phases of neuroimaging acquisition and analyses. This will include potential operation of an MRI scanner; collection of cognitive, neuropsychological and clinical measures; creating and maintaining a neuropsychological/neuroimaging database; and providing other support as needed for lab personnel. This individual will recruit and supervise undergraduate research assistants and will contribute to writing laboratory and study-related documentation. This position is ideal for anyone considering future graduate study in clinical/cognitive/developmental psychology.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, mathematics, computer science or related field; strong computational skills, interpersonal skills; the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team; cognitive neuroscience, or psychology. Knowledge of neuroimaging software and statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS) as well as programming skills in (e.g., Matlab, Python, Linux) are highly desirable. Must also possess excellent organizational and communication skills, exhibit initiative and strong attention to detail, and be capable of flexibility in fast-paced environment.
