About the Opportunity: The Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences is seeking a Manager of Fellowships!
Bouve College of Health Sciences is comprised of four preeminent schools of study encompassing approximately 1,000 faculty and staff, 5,000 students, and 40,000 alumni.
Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location. Until our full return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process will be conducted remotely- including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. Local, on-campus work will be required once the College and this role return to an operational status that supports it.
Responsibilities: The Manager of Fellowships is an externally funded position which will lead the newly developed School of Pharmacy Office of Fellowships. This position is responsible for visionary leadership, strategic development, and operational oversight of the Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program between the school of pharmacy within the Bouve College of Health Sciences and multiple funding partners. Alongside the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences, this position is responsible for the development and stewardship of relationships with corporate partners. This position is also the primary liaison with University offices including Corporate and Foundation Relations, Bouve Dean's Office, BCORe, the PhD Network and NU-RES, among others. As part of the Director of Fellowship position travel will be required locally and nationally for recruitment and program development activities including meetings, conferences, and events.
The Manager of Fellowships designs and implements strategies for program growth and expansion, workflows to advance program goals, strategic initiatives into operationalized projects, and provides coordination and tracking in a number of areas. Areas of responsibility include stewardship of corporate partnerships; grant and finance oversight and coordination with key stakeholders within and outside the University; developing a marketing strategy and manage activities (Northeastern website, coordinating marketing/NU branding among external industry partners, social media, and coordinating communication); report creation for College leadership, as necessary. Responsible for leading monthly Fellowship Advisory Committee meetings with key business partners and establishing programmatic initiatives and agendas.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and minimum of five year to seven years of related administrative experience; a master's degree is preferred. Qualifications include:
Proven excellence in managing or leading a multidisciplinary/ multi-departmental complex program with various internal and external stakeholders
Experience writing and revising program documents including policies, procedures, positions, and program requirements
Institutional knowledge of grant management and finance/purchasing principles preferred
Proven record of providing exceptional customer service to multiple, diverse constituents
Outstanding planning, time management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities with efficiency
Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook.
Ability to work fluidly with spreadsheet software and ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems.
Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills, ability to be resourceful and to work independently
Flexibility and ability to work fluidly in a team-oriented environment
Proven record of delivering timely and successful work product.
