RESEARCH ASSOCIATE , Sloan School of Management-Golub Center for Finance and Policy (GCFP) , to act as a key member of GCFP's research team, assisting with the preparation of research aimed at informing decisions made at the intersection of finance and policy. Will help implement the center's research efforts and ensure GCFP is well positioned to inform public policy development through high-quality reports and educational initiatives; raise the profile of the center's work by assisting with the development of publications and other research and participating in a range of conferences/seminars/external events; contribute to all phases of the research process by assisting in methodology development, conducting data gathering and analysis, drafting reports, and assisting in research dissemination/outreach; help plan and conduct specific research, modeling, projection, and data development initiatives aimed at identifying and addressing public policy problems and improving decision-making by government officials; provide subject matter insights and contribute to the study of government policies and programs; develop papers, short-form reports (policy briefs), blog posts, and media content; and provide input to a wide range of work being conducted at the center.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; ability to stay abreast of and engaged in GCFP's many projects; work experience within a government financial institution (or related organization) or demonstrated understanding of government's role as a financial decisionmaker, regulator, and participant; and excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to conduct high-quality, innovative research in public policy, economics, or finance; and play a key role in the center's research, working seamlessly as a team player with other GCFP researchers, students, and staff.
