Research - The incumbent will be expected to establish, coordinate, and integrate clinical Alzheimer's disease research protocols at the Butler Hospital and, in collaboration, with the Department of Psychiatry. The incumbent will also be expected to participate in regional, national and international Alzheimer's disease research networks. Mentorship and research support will be provided to assist the incumbent to establish an independent investigative program, preferably focusing on Alzheimer's disease research or a closely related field. It is expected that approximately 30% protected time, and space will be provided for faculty member's research and scholarly activity/productivity. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between the Butler Hospital and the various programs of Brown University and its affiliated hospitals.
Teaching - The incumbent will be expected to participate in the teaching programs of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Butler Hospital, which includes residents and fellows in the Departments of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Neurology.
Service Responsibilities - The incumbent will be expected to actively participate in activities of the Department of Psychiatry, and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Requirements- Minimum requirements include: Doctoral degree in clinical psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or a related discipline, clinical and research experience working with patients with cognitive disorders, excellence in teaching and research mentorship, ability to develop and conduct an independent program of research and a commitment to scholarly participation in the Alzheimer's disease research programs of the Warren Alpert Medical School.
