The Front Desk Associate oversees and coordinates routine administrative support for the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene and the Esther M. Wilkins Dental Hygiene Clinic on the Worcester campus. Responsibilities: Greets and welcomes patients to manage check in/out process: verifies insurance, collects payment, manages documents (scan to patient chart) and collects exit surveys and collates responses, check clinic notes, and schedule next appointments located in treatment planner, print patient receipts Schedules and confirms appointments with clinic patients and community partners Sends and obtains patient welcome packets Monitors and maintains unscheduled appointments and future recare appointments Trains, supervises and evaluates hygiene students, front desk personnel and work study students Creates and maintains the student and adjunct schedule and communicates patient information Communicates with MCPHS security on a parking list for elderly/handicapped patients Manages patient records and dental information, handles transfer requests and archival of records Obtains New Patient Intake forms from students via the ShareFile Monitors and creates reports for discounted fees for students, community partners, and veterans Screen patients for COVID 19 and explain protocols for social distancing in the clinic 24 hours prior to appointment. Sanitize waiting area multiple times daily Manages daily collections settlement and works with business office to make deposits/settlements Submits a daily audit of patients? reports to Dean/Associate DeansAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications:Required: Minimum of a high school diploma required, Associate?s Degree or higher preferred Minimum of three years of experience in a dental office or clinic Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills Working knowledge of the operations and administration of a dental or medical facility Knowledge of and experience with Dentrix Dental Practice Management Software or equivalent High level of proficiency with MS Office Understanding of patient care protocols, procedures, regulations and standards of care Familiarity and fiscal management principles and procedures Able to set priorities and maintain confidential information Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team Effectively manages multiple ongoing projects, meet deadlines and remain calm and adaptable in stressful situations Proficiency in Spanish preferred MCPHS offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits that includes a substantial contribution toward the cost of medical and dental insurance, generous time off benefits, and a significant pension plan contribution.
