Full-Time Visiting Assistant Professor in Lighting and Set Design
Description The Department of Theatre & Dance at College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position in Lighting and Set Design for the 2020-2021 academic year to begin in August 2020. The faculty member will lead, oversee and coordinate all lighting, technology and design activities for the department; mentor students; maintain and update lighting and related curriculum as needed.
Depending on abilities and interest, the faculty member will additionally teach in at least one other production area, such as sound, video, projection, VR, or online/interactive media.
A terminal degree in design or related area of expertise.
A minimum of three to five years experience designing scenery and lighting in professional or educational settings.
Proficiency with CAD software (Vectorworks or AutoCAD preferred)
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
