The Digital Content Specialist plays an important role in inspiring donors and prospects to support the mission of BCH. Working with the Digital and Communications teams, the Digital Content Specialist will ensure that messaging consistently aligns with brand strategy, encourage engagement, generate leads, and enable a positive user experience. They will design and execute strategies for inbound search web traffic using content marketing and paid search best practices. In addition, they will work as part of a cross-departmental team to write and edit content for use in digital channels, particularly the Trust website and email, and other development materials as they support the Trust's programmatic and strategic goals.
The Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for:
Leading production and execution of copy for the Trust website, including landing pages, registration pages, and donate forms with the goal to drive online conversions - donations, event registrations, and other opportunities
Evolving content design processes to facilitate the needs of the business
Overseeing search marketing strategy for Trust website, including management of Google AdWords Grant and coordination with vendors and hospital Marketing department
Collaborating with Senior Digital Communications Officer and Digital Coordinator to write, set up, and deploy email communications, including appeals, newsletters, and invitations using Luminate Online
Evaluating and structuring web content to align with best practices and makes recommendations on SEO strategy..This would include website navigation, content optimization, and call-to-action placement
Working closely with Digital team and cross-departmental working group to create meaningful and relevant donor journeys across digital channels
Leveraging Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Google Optimize to enhance learning and inform ongoing strategy and content placement based on visitor interaction with the Trust website. Benchmarking and measuring relevant KPIs and produces reports for internal stakeholders
Supporting Trust initiatives through strategic use of website content Areas of the Trust include special events, corporate initiatives, direct marketing, and major giving efforts
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's in Communications or closely related field
A minimum of 5 yrs' experience in Communications or related field
Strong written and verbal communications skills
The ability to handle multiple projects and consistently meet multiple deadlines
The ability to work collaboratively within a team and with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to create, implement and maintain content standards across an organization
Proficiency with Content Management System and ad platforms (e.g. Google AdWords). Familiarity with Luminate Online and Blackbaud CRM, HTML, CSS and Microsoft Office
Google Ads Certification preferred
