Bachelor's degree in human resources, management, public administration, rehabilitation or related field. Four years of related work experience preferably within a college/university at a professional/administrative level. Knowledge of, experience with, providing access to programs, services and activities as well as employee and student reasonable accommodations under the guidelines of the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act Sections 502, 503, 504 and 508 and the Fair Housing Act. Knowledge of FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and the 2010 Design Standards. Knowledge of learning, physical, emotional and intellectual disabilities. Mediation skills and effective communication skills, both oral and written. Competent use of Microsoft Office applications. Strong MS Office and file management skills, and strong training and presentation skills to influence compliance and best practices.

About the Opportunity:
Reports to the Director of Affirmative Action and Equity. Under general supervision oversees the University’s compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended 2008, Section 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Fair Housing Act as well as guidelines and regulations issued by the EEOC, OCR, the Department of Justice, including the 2010 Standards, and pertinent local, state, and federal legislation as they affect UNH employees and all participants (including students and visitors) in University programs, services, and activities. Interacts with all University constituencies and sets disability compliance direction and priorities for the Affirmative Action and Equity Office. As assigned, conducts investigations into complaints of discrimination and discriminatory harassment across all protected categories.
