Bachelor's degree in Biology or equivalent, and a Master's Degree in a related discipline. Candidates should have worked professionally in the field.
A successful candidate for this position is a creative and knowledgeable individual who is capable of teaching courses in Anatomy & Physiology, to a diverse student body. The candidate is well versed in the discipline, and capable of teaching to liberal arts, health careers, and STEM students. Successful teaching experience and a familiarity with community colleges is preferred. The faculty member is committed to inclusive excellence and diversity, and continuous professional improvement.
Develop and apply a variety of instructional methods that engage students of varying learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds.
Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize learning, and measure student learning outcomes at the course, department, and institutional level.
Demonstrated ability to work well with and to be sensitive to students, faculty, and staff of diverse identities such as socioeconomic level, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and veterans, including those with different levels of academic preparation, and varying physical and learning abilities.
