This entry-level position will work as part of the BUMC Student Financial Services (SFS) team supporting the schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Public Health in efforts to help achieve the University goals for recruitment and retention. This position will assist students and their families in navigating the forms, terminology and deadlines associated with applying for and receiving financial aid. This position will also act as an administrative assistant for SFS by maintaining inventory of all general office supplies, determining appropriateness of requests for purchases of goods and services, and oversight of all expenditures within the department.

A bachelors degree and 1-2 years of experience in a service and detail-oriented position are required. Additionally, candidates must exhibit: strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse constituents; the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; knowledge of customer service standards and procedures; the ability to analyze and solve problems, and; the ability to present educational programs, workshops, and/or orientations.
