This Staff Nurse will be responsible for:
In addition to providing exemplary patient care, the RN will work closely with the Medical Director and members of the interdisciplinary GI team.
Providing direct patient care in the clinic setting, facilitating patient flow, managing enteral tube, cecostomy and ostomy problems and other patient needs during clinic session.
Providing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, health care team members and community agencies.
Acting as primary triage contact for patient questions and phone calls. Assisting with prior authorizations, school forms/letters and prescription refills.
Providing comprehensive patient education for patients with new diagnoses as well as those starting new treatments.
Identifying patient educational needs and work with other motility team members on the development of educational materials and educational programs.
Planning, organizing and overseeing policies and procedures designed to improve the patient/family experience.
To qualify, you must have:
BSN degree and RN License.
1-5 years of pediatric nursing experience.
Experience working with pediatric patients with chronic illnesses.
Experience in patient care, education, and coordinator of care.
Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
