Perform accounting and finance functions for Bear Bucks/Campus Card Department as well as assist in customer service functions as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer Odyssey software system which operates the Bear Bucks Accounts.
Run and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports to University Departments and outside Vendors utilizing the Bear Bucks account.
Prepare all sales analysis reports and spreadsheets on a monthly basis.
Create journal entries, inter-department orders and check request reimbursement for University Departments and outside Vendors who accept Bear Bucks.
Enter purchase orders and inter-department orders for temporary cards and guest meal cards.
Prepare daily deposits of cash and checks received as payment for Bear Bucks or lost ID cards.
Monitor payroll deduction on employee Bear Bucks plans, which includes tracking hold reports, employee terminations, transfers, etc. and works closely with WU Payroll Services.
Assist Office Manager and CFU Accountant in preparing annual and monthly operating budgets for the Bear Bucks/Campus Card Department.
Assist with the production of ID cards related to the Bear Bucks/Campus Card Office operations.
Customer Service includes answering phone lines, answering questions in person and by email, solving problems and face to face customer service when necessary.
Process fingerprints done in office for adults participating in programs hosting minors on campus.
Communicate with program directors on a weekly basis to update them on the completion of background checks as well as online training.
The hiring range for this position is $17.48 - $17.95 per hour.
This position is full-time and works approximately 37.5 hours per week.

High School Degree and two years office, payroll accounting or business experience.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Analytical skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task.
General knowledge of accounting.
College coursework and four years' related experience in higher education administration.
Experience with WU systems (AIS, HRMS, SIS).
Excellent organizational and communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to learn new software systems and technology skills.
Ability to integrate information from multiple sources, utilize creative thinking and exercise considerable judgment and resourcefulness.
A self-motivated individual; ability to work independently with a high degree of reliability, accuracy and consistency; meet deadlines with varying degrees of pressure; possess a strong work ethic and determination and be detail oriented.
