ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS FOR CAMPUS VISITS , Office of Admissions , to serve as the primary leader of MIT's prospective student campus visit programs, including information sessions, campus tours, and other programs. Will work under the direction of the associate director for recruitment and oversee the recruitment, training, and development of a dynamic and enthusiastic group of MIT students who serve as tour guides and student ambassadors in the daily visit program; directly supervise one admissions counselor; participate in all aspects of the daily visit process and manage requests for campus visits and group tours from prospective high school groups and other parties; collaborate with Admissions' communications and recruitment staff to ensure that daily visit programming maintains consistent branding and messaging; participate in the ongoing assessment and evaluation of the campus visit experience, adjusting campus visit programming in response to analytics and departmental goals and providing ongoing feedback and training to tour guides and student ambassadors; oversee student payroll processes and related financial systems; review and select undergraduate applicants with a partial admissions caseload and actively participate on the admissions committee; and participate in other recruitment and yield activities as assigned.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree; at least three years of college admissions or relevant experience; strong supervisory and leadership skills; ability to train, motivate, and nurture student employees; excellent public speaking, communication, project management, organizational, and analytical skill; and the ability to take initiative and transform ideas into practical solutions, work with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment, and set priorities.
