This Sr. Administrative Associate will be responsible for:
Assisting Administrative Manager and Research Program Administrative Director in managing daily administrative operations of a research program office.
Leading and performing administrative functions requiring in depth knowledge of departmental programs and services. Organizing and leading provision of administrative support services. Acting as the "go to" person for the administrative staff.
Planning, preparing and organizing logistic requirements for multiple educational and social events including a joint seminar series. Reserving meeting locations, ordering supplies and services and preparing agenda. Preparing travel arrangements, including airline reservations and hotel accommodations, as necessary. Processing reimbursements
Scheduling appointments and meetings and maintaining calendar for a principal investigator. Processing reimbursements and assisting with correspondence as needed. Providing general administrative support for other principal investigators as needed.
Monitoring and maintaining department supply inventory and administrative equipment.
Serving as liaison to support service departments/providers to request and coordinate provision of needed services.
Maintaining and updating website.
To qualify, you must have:
The level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of two years of occupationally-specific education or an Associate's degree in business or a closely related field and three to four years of previous experience.
The analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situation and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with website management and/or WordPress a plus.
2 year commitment.
