The Multimedia Production Specialist will collaborate with peers and faulty in the design and production of video and media projects for online courses. This includes pre-production consultation and design, filming, and post-production work. Research, propose and implement creative approaches for animations and motion graphics, and work as a part of a team in completing multimedia projects involving creative design, audio visual production and engineering, independent consultation, content capture, post-capture editing, content storage and data file manipulation to provide a polished product to Tufts University clients. Will be a cinematographer, editor, technical analyst, audio production engineer, and video production engineer. The Multimedia Production Specialist is responsible for completing multimedia projects involving creative design, audio visual production and engineering, independent consultation, content capture, post-capture editing, content storage and data file manipulation to provide a polished product to Tufts University clients. Will be a cinematographer, editor, technical analyst, audio production engineer, video production engineer as required by the needs of the project.
The knowledge and skills that are typically acquired through a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of work experience.
2-3 years of experience with video production and post-production
Experience with some or all of the following technologies:
Post production editing using software such as After Effects, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro
Videography skills, including shooting with DSLR and traditional video cameras
Demonstrated ability to deliver professional customer service, end user training and consultation, effective team and project work.
Must be able to shoot and produce a video project both independently as well as collaboratively.
Graphic design and animation skills.
Visual creativity and storytelling skills.
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms for creating video animations (i.e., Storyline, GoAnimate, PowToon, Wideo).
Experience working in higher education or other educational environment.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: This position requires the ability to travel between all three campuses in Boston, Medford, and Grafton. May be required to work evenings and weekends to support events or for project implementations. Must be willing and able to participate in a 24x7 on call rotation to support key enterprise services. (e.g. Lecture Capture)
