The primary objective of this position is to provide clerical and administrative support for the Associate Dean for Institutional Effectiveness and the Program Management of the Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant. The Administrative Assistant provides support and produces work that assists in meeting timely and critical deadlines for projects and activities essential to the office.
• Organizing/filing/tracking correspondence and documentation related to the Title III grant, assessment, and accreditation of the institution. • Preparing/managing purchase orders and financial data • Clerical support for production of image-sensitive documentation for submission to external stakeholders, including government agencies and accreditors • Building interactive data collection instruments using MS Office 365 products (for projects such as the Student Success Plan, Academic Program Review etc) • Building and maintaining schedules and accountability for multiple projects, using MS project software • Coordinating schedules and events for the Associate Dean’s accreditation activities and Title III initiatives
Experience: • 2-3 years minimum experience in administrative assistant or similar role role • Experience in a higher education setting (preferred) • Experience in administrative and personnel management, strategic data management, project planning and management, and budget planning and management
Skills & Knowledge: • Demonstrated high level of organizational skills with great attention to details • Working familiarity with MS Office 356 • Ability to handle confidential information • Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally
