The Department of Economics at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for an Associate Professor position in the area of Empirical Public Economics. All areas of empirical public economics will be considered. Having broad interests in public policy and doing empirical research informed by economic theory will be viewed favorably.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in economics or related field at the time of application, and an established record of excellence in research and teaching that merits appointment as an Associate Professor. The selected candidate will be expected to teach a Ph.D. level course that provides broad coverage of empirical work in public economics, as well as to teach in the undergraduate program; guide the research of doctoral students; be committed to an ongoing state-of-the-art research program; provide leadership in the Department; and render service to the university and profession. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience. Appointment will be effective July 1, 2020.
