The Medical Director will work with Department of PA Medicine Faculty and Program Director to develop a nationally emulated interprofessional education PA curriculum within the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM) at Michigan State University.
The PA Medicine Medical Director will serve as a liaison, course instructor and ambassador for the PA program while working closely with all COM faculty and staff. The Medical Director supports the Program Director in all aspects of the program curriculum in both didactic instruction and supervised clinical experiences to develop practice ready PA’s to improve access to care and health outcomes.
A minimum of 5 years' experience as clinically active Physician
M.D or DO, with active Board certification and state licensure in Michigan or eligibility to obtain such licensure
Prior experience developing an interprofessional curriculum
Teaching experience within a Medical school or PA program
History of precepting students in a clinical setting
Participation in local, regional, and/or national medical organizations
Leadership or management experience within a healthcare system
