The faculty of Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA) and Program Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of the MCPHS University DHA program, reporting to the Dean of the School of Healthcare Business. The incumbent will be located on the MCPHS Worcester Campus, and assume an active role amongst the doctoral faculty, supporting the doctoral core courses, as well as the development of the DHA program in collaboration with the Dean and the Associate Provost for Academic Innovation.Responsibilities: Teach and/or participate in teaching and development of core doctoral courses, as required Engage in scholarship appropriate for assigned faculty rank Serve on departmental, school, and university committees, including the school curriculum committee, and academic standing review Coordinate the development, implementation, and dissemination of program policies and procedures in harmony with existing doctoral programs and university policies Continuously review and revise program mission, vision, and goals Participate in continuous assessment and improvement activities for the DHA and other school programs Partner with appropriate offices to monitor DHA program performance and evaluate curricular effectiveness Recruit, develop, and supervise adjunct faculty with required subject matter expertise Provide academic advising to doctoral students, reviewing student performance and capstone development Provide routine progress reports and updates to school and university administration Develop, organize, and perform program self-studies and evaluations Work with the Office of Admission and Marketing to recruit DHA candidates Represent the school and program to external audiences, potential students as well as internal audiences Participate in Admission events, including open houses, presentations, and other school and program events.Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Dean. Faculty rank is commensurate with education and experience.Required: A terminal degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare administration and practice standards Scholarship in healthcare administration, or related field Postsecondary teaching or administrative experience, preferably at the graduate level Leadership experience in higher education Experience with teaching and learning online Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently on numerous and diverse projects/tasks Ability to effectively work in a distributed interprofessional team-based environment Excellent computer skills including facility with MS Office and learning management software Experience teaching online and/or with the administration of online programs preferredMCPHS offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits that includes a substantial contribution toward the cost of medical and dental insurance, generous time off benefits, and a significant pension plan contribution.
