This Perioperative Clinical Assistant will be responsible for:
Supporting the registered nurse in the operating room as needed, assisting with setting up sterile procedures, getting supplies, holding limbs for prepping.
Moving and setting up equipment for surgical procedures (x-ray machines, special operating room table attachments, special operating room equipment.
Organizing and gathering the supplies and equipment needed for the next days' procedures.
Performing other related duties according to the specific needs of the unit.
Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed.
Front desk coverage as well as Pre-Op, PACU and OR.
To qualify, you must have:
A High School Diploma or equivalent.
6 months of related experience strongly preferred.
Clinical Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant training strongly preferred.
Prior work in an operating room or procedure area preferred.
Knowledge of sterile technique preferred.
