We are currently looking for team members to join the team responsible for managing, optimizing and enhancing a large suite of Clinical Applications. This CPOE Specialist will be responsible for:
Providing technical support and advice to a multi-disciplinary group of team members dedicated to the implementation of electronic orders sets for clinical research protocols.
The role will reside within IT, but will spend significant amounts of time collaborating with a matrixed team with representation from the Research, Pharmacy, and Nursing departments.
Key functions in the transition of a paper-based protocol to an electronic order set. This will entail the build of core components for the order set, testing, and reporting.
Participating in the Change Management process.
Taking the lead on issue resolution: This involves using your skills and resources to identify the root cause of a problem and/or the responsible party for additional troubleshooting.
Clearly articulating and presenting solutions to colleagues and customers in the user community.
In order to qualify you must have:
Strong communication skills.
The ability to manage relationships with a wide range of customers.
A background in Health Care Information Technology with demonstrated success.
3-7 years in a related field.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience with perioperative IT systems is preferred.
Experience with SQL, CCL and/or Unix is preferred.
