The Policy Analyst supports PEPReC in the development of high-priority policy, planning, and management initiatives and quantitative program evaluations with strong potential to improve the quality and efficiency of VA benefits. The policy analyst will work with initiative and independence and perform analytical work as independent contributor to the analytical team.
Identify and analyze public policy issues and their impact on Veteran outcomes, and VA operations
Help develop and implement new research and evaluation projects
Collect research and/or evaluation data
Collaborate on research and/or evaluation activities with operational partners, professional research and service delivery staff
Disseminate research findings through publications and liaison with VA Medical Centers, VISNS, and VA Central Office, as well as other federal agencies, and community, professional, and service groups
Draft column length, policy relevant, evidence based pieces suitable for publication at major media outlets
Master's degree and 1-3 years' experience required.
