The Department of Occupational Therapy at Worcester State University invites applications for a 9-month academic year, tenure track position in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Occupational Studies/Master of Occupational Therapy program beginning September 2020.
Qualified applicants should have a research-related terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., Sc.D.) and at least 5 years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist and be eligible for licensure as an OTR in Massachusetts. The position requires demonstration of clinical and teaching experience in geriatrics and cognition in various contexts or a primary interest in teaching clinical reasoning, global health, occupational justice and mental health. The successful incumbent should be prepared to supervise thesis projects.
This position includes teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising, and ongoing involvement in Department and University committees. Most of the faculty members in the Occupational Therapy Department continue to work in clinical practice while teaching and are strongly committed to participation in university, community and international service. Collaborative designing and teaching of courses and research with other academic departments is encouraged.
