This Clinical Research Assistant II will be responsible for:
Under general supervision coordinating activities of daily operations of clinical research studies.
Screening, consenting, recruitment of study participants (e.g. telephone interviews, in-person/remote informational visits), and selection of patients for studies.
Screening, consenting, recruitment, and selection of patients for studies.
Providing operations support for a controlled feeding study on how diet affects body fat, working on the research team in the New Balance Foundation Obesity Prevention Center.
Operating procedures; performing data entry and quality control tasks.
Assisting registered dietitians who monitor production and service of research diets.
Monitoring exercise sessions and assisting with the management of student research assistants.
Performing other administrative tasks (such as scheduling study visits, completing case report forms, labeling and filing study documents, and maintaining study inventory).
Preparing IRB and/or CCI documentation and submissions in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and/or other members of the research team. Conducting data collection activities and prepares analytical reports regarding results of studies.
Assisting in writing articles and summary papers for various publications.
In order to qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a related science, and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
This position requires travel between study centers (Boston and Ashland, MA) and flexibility with work hours such as early mornings, evenings or weekends (based on requirements of the study protocol).
