ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, INDUSTRY MENTORS AND EXECUTIVE EMPLOYER RELATIONS , Sloan School of Managemen t -Career Development Office (CDO) (part-time, 50%), to join the CDO and work on one of its key strategic goals--to build more formal programming to leverage MIT's alumni community for expert industry-specific career guidance and to create greater access to opportunity for Sloan's students. A second key goal is to build employer awareness of the global executive talent at Sloan enrolled in both the Sloan Fellows MBA (SFMBA) and the Executive MBA programs. The development of an Industry mentors program and targeted executive-level employer relations program are two strategic initiatives being launched to support these goals. These efforts will improve both the employment outcomes of students and enable tighter connectivity between the CDO, the Sloan alumni community, the Office of External Relations, and employers. Will assume a newly created role supporting the CDO's initiatives. Will be responsible for collaborating with the assistant dean of the CDO, director of executive career development, director of career education, and director of employer relations to launch, manage, and grow these two initiatives. In year two, will take on the planning and advising of project-based learning opportunities with the SFMBAs.
REQUIRED : a B.A./B.S. (MBA strongly preferred); at least three years' experience; proven ability to work with traditional MBAs and executives; knowledge of the career development process; market savviness and proven ability to execute against strategic goals; marketing, sales, program management, and business development experience; discretion and good judgment with confidential information/issues; and an understanding of the higher education landscape, with particular knowledge of MBA education.
