FELLOWSHIP MANAGER, CREATIVE LEARNING FELLOWS , Media Lab-Lifelong Kindergarten , to organize and support a network of creative learning fellows in Brazil. The Creative Learning Fellowship program is part of a broader initiative encouraging and supporting creative learning opportunities for children throughout Brazil. Each year, the program selects and supports new fellows to serve as advocates and role models for creative learning in Brazil. Responsibilities include developing, executing, and managing program plans, scope, and schedule and ensuring operations are effective and efficient; devising and running an annual process for selecting new fellows; developing and managing program budget; identifying and resolving issues; participating in the design and development of program systems and resources (e.g., databases, documentation, policies, procedures); contributing to communication plans and responding to inquiries; compiling, reviewing, and analyzing data to evaluate and/or enhance program effectiveness; providing documentation and/or reporting to stakeholders; supporting and mentoring fellows; helping organize events in Brazil; documenting and disseminating information about activities and experiences from the fellowship program; conducting research on learning approaches/challenges/strategies in the program; developing new approaches to support the expanding network of fellows; and other duties as assigned. Will also contribute to other educational initiatives (especially on the international use of the Scratch programming language) in the Lifelong Kindgergarten research group.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in education, learning sciences, or related field; three years' administrative/operational/research experience; experience working in the Brazilian education ecosystem and educational research experience; demonstrated expertise in professional development of educators; deep understanding of constructionist educational approaches; excellent organizational and communication skills; and full fluency in Portuguese and English.
