PROJECT COORDINATOR , Facilities-Campus Construction-Project Management Group , to coordinate procedures, budgets, and scheduling of construction projects for the Institute's CRSP (Committee for Renovation and Space Planning) renovations program. Will advise program manager and/or communicate outstanding punch list assignments to project personnel in response to existing priorities; ensure efficient and organized work sites for construction start-up; prepare and expedite project-related documentation; review construction contract documents and become familiar with required documentation in order to maintain completeness of files and ensure close-out is accurate and timely; monitor and provide reports on project schedules from initial development through occupancy; provide budget reports and trends for use in budget control; coordinate with project field supervisors during construction; prepare punch list of close-out construction tasks and coordinate efforts to ensure the timely completion of all items; act in a liaison capacity with all Campus Construction departments regarding project development; and communicate with the general contractor and/or subcontractor and architects on specific issues/problems during the construction phase.
REQUIRED : a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years' relevant construction management experience in a similar role; basic knowledge and understanding of relevant Massachusetts' building codes and regulations; demonstrated ability to work independently to resolve moderately complex issues, recognizing when to escalate before they are critical; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and work effectively with people at all levels in a demanding environment; persuade, influence, negotiate, and form alliances with a variety of peers and clients; and listen to and incorporate other ideas/opinions into the work plan.
