DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROJECTS , Admissions and Student Financial Services , to work closely with the dean of Admissions and Student Financial Services and the leadership team, to plan, manage, and implement a wide range of projects and priorities. Will independently manage multiple projects from inception to completion and help ensure specified projects led by others within the organization are meeting milestones and remain on track; research issues, gather and analyze data, meet with a range of constituents and stakeholders, and advise the dean and others regarding findings and recommended next steps; collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities such as new initiatives, relationships, program development, and operational efficiency; work with admissions and student financial services research staff on data projects as a thought partner, assisting with research; create and present reports to the dean, leadership team, and key stakeholders and establish strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including MIT senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students.
REQUIRED : bachelor's degree (master's preferred); at least five years of academic administration; strong research and analysis, project management, interpersonal, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well with a broad range of constituents and to successfully collaborate across organizational boundaries; attention to detail; and proven ability to independently lead groups to generate creative solutions. Admissions, student financial services, or higher education administration experience is desirable. MIT experience would be a plus. Job #17746-10
