The faculty member has the primary function of providing physician assistant education to our students that meets the needs of the students, the learning outcomes, vision of the program and mission of the University. In addition, scholarly pursuit, service to the program, University and community is expected to foster professional growth.Responsibilities: Faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, and service activities, as defined in the University faculty manuals Participate in teaching selected lecture and laboratory classes and experiential activities Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum for physician assistant education that conforms to University, School, and Program policies and procedures Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum for physician assistant education to achieve and maintain compliance with ARC-PA standards Maintain accurate and appropriate records to assist with accreditation reports, accreditation site visits, and ongoing program evaluation Provide supervision, instruction, advice and counsel to students to facilitate the students? successful completion of all learning objectives Serve as an ambassador for the PAS program through participation in service activities Serve on wide and school-specific faculty committees, and participate in professional development activitiesAdditional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.Rank is commensurate with education and experience. Qualifications:Required:Physician Assistants with the following: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, preferred master's in PA Studies Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for licensure in MA or NH, depending on campus location. Candidate is required to maintain certification throughout employment. A minimum of three years of clinical experience Candidates without a master's degree would be required to obtain a master's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited institution within three years of hire. Degree must be one that is appropriate to the needs of the program as determined by the Program Director.
