This Practice Liaison will be responsible for:
Scheduling patient appointments and procedures for families and referring providers across the enterprise following established department guidelines. Collecting and verifying all demographic information. Entering referrals and authorizations as needed.
Providing daily phone support and scheduling assistance to internal departments and various programs including external referring providers and practices.
Providing daily support to the referring practices assigned to liaison by answering questions on BCH departments, providing phone and fax numbers, faxing consult notes and circling back to the referring provider with any updates.
Performing a variety of administrative duties including printing requests from referring providers, entering incoming requests into the CMS database and faxing appointment information to the referring provider.
Handling any routine complaint/issues that arise and is expected to resolve with the appropriate response. Elevating the issues to the supervisor for further action.
Attending team meeting updates as required and contributes in a positive manner, consistently focusing on constructive processes. Informs referring practices regarding hospital policies or updates.
Providing positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations. Answering, screening and routing telephone calls. Recording and forwarding messages and triaging calls for urgent information or services. Responding to requests for routine information or assistance within scope of knowledge and authority.
To qualify, you must have:
A high school diploma.
Minimum one year related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer navigation and keyboarding skills, including ability to multi-task and navigate between multiple systems.
Strong and accurate data entry abilities.
The ability to work with confidential information in a professional manner.
The ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Epic Scheduling and Power Chart preferred.
Basic skills in collecting and analyzing data.
The ability to apply general rules to solve basic problems with an outcome that makes sense.
The anticipated hours for this position are Monday- Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
