This position reports to the Director, Finance & Business Systems for Auxiliary Services and manages the overall maintenance of cash operations, accounts receivable and payable for all Auxiliary Services and Dining Services. The Auxiliary Services operation has revenues of $54.0 million. In addition, prepares monthly department and consolidated P&L reports, monitors subsystems posting to PeopleSoft Financials, reviews accounting systems output for accuracy and identifies and rectifies problems or issues with the data. Also participates in the quarterly forecast review process with the Financial Vice President's Office and Controller's Office; coordinates the departments' annual budget development; and assists in the year-end financial audit of all Auxiliary Service units.
The Assistant Director, Finance supervises all monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations, and submission of tax data and reconciliation to the Controller's Office; creates financial models and performs scenario analyses for the individual business units; and supports the Associate Vice President for Auxiliary Services and the Director, Finance & Business Systems in the development of the division's long range financial plans.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $76,250 to $95,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting,
* Four to six years of business/accounting experience, and a fundamental grasp of accounting concepts and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
* Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
* Excellent communications and strong supervisory skills with emphasis on mentoring and employee development.
* MBA, CPA/Public Accounting experience desired
