RESEARCH SUPPORT ASSOCIATE 1 , Center for Transportation & Logistics-AgeLab , to work with research participants in support of human subject experimentation. The role is administrative in nature, but will support senior research staff with projects related to vehicle technology, transportation, and aging. Will assist with the collection of data in laboratory, simulation, field, and naturalistic experiments and/or assist with data coding and other activities necessary to support laboratory events and reporting requirements. Responsibilities include administering neuropsychological tests/questionnaires to consenting research subjects while implementing human subject research protocols; operating computer-based physiological recording equipment, driving simulator, and eye-tracking instrumentation; artifact editing of research EKG recordings; scoring questionnaires and experimental tasks, coordinating compilation of information into data sets, and reviewing for errors; data entry involving observing human behavior and eye glances in videos; participating in staff meetings; contributing to development and refinement of research protocols/procedures; maintaining paper and electronic records; and other duties as requested.
REQUIRED : high school diploma or its equivalent; customer service experience; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; excellent time-management, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to quickly learn new software programs or interfaces and troubleshoot minor technical problems; comfort using previous data to estimate timelines for new projects; and experience using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Seek a team player who is able to handle multiple priorities from multiple sources and perform under time pressures and despite frequent interruptions. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, human resources, psychology, social science, or related field; exposure to a research lab; knowledge of Google Docs, Google Calendar, and Dropbox; a valid, current, U.S. driver's license; and experience managing multiple schedules preferred.
