The Cinema and Media Studies Program at Wellesley College invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer in Film & Media History and Theory. The appointment will be for a period of two years, beginning fall 2019. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses per year, two at the introductory and intermediate level, and two related to their area of expertise. The introductory level courses have mandatory screenings that are also managed by the instructor. We seek a faculty who is committed to undergraduate education and whose pedagogical outlook incorporates original methodologies for engaging with the history and theory of cinema within diverse configurations of media. A PhD or the equivalent degree is required.
