Adjunct Faculty work directly with masters and doctoral students teaching concentration courses in healthcare business, global health, or health professions education, and/or supporting and mentoring students conducting evidence-based research.Responsibilities: Instruct and mentor doctoral students in an online environment Develop and present professionally-appropriate lectures in accordance with stated course and unit objectives Update course content, readings, and/or assignments on a routine basis to maintain the relevance of course Facilitate student learning and engagement through use of online tools and the features of the Blackboard LMS Maintain an online presence, including answering student emails in a timely manner, participating in course discussion boards and other interactive course elements Assess student work, and advise students in relation to course objectives Collaborate with the Program Director(s) to evaluate course objectives, learning outcomes, and relationship to curricular goals Maintain communication with the Program or Concentration Director(s), identifying any students of concern and relaying student progress Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the course(s) being taught.Qualifications:Required: Terminal degree (PhD, EdD, DHS, or equivalent) Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 5-10 years of graduate teaching experienceDesired: Healthcare, or closely related experience Demonstrable scholarship in the health sciences, or closely related areas Experience with mentorship of graduate students Experience with Blackboard or similar LMSPhysical requirements: Ability to appear in video or webcam for online interaction with studentsApplyTo apply, please visit www.mcphs.edu/careers.
