POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE , Civil and Environmental Engineering , to assume a position in the area of materials modeling and simulation. Will contribute to the research efforts in MIT's Laboratory for Atomistic and Molecular Mechanics under the direction of Professor Markus Buehler. The project is specifically focused on molecular and coarse-grain modeling of hierarchical materials, machine learning and AI, and additive manufacturing. Material platforms include protein materials, nanomaterials, and hybrid constructs.
Ph.D. in in materials science, engineering mechanics or related fields. One year of related postdoc experience is preferable but not required. Ability to manage projects and meet competing deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
