Training associate within Sargent College's Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation. The primary purpose is to engage, teach, support, advise, advocate for and mentor individuals with psychiatric and behavioral challenges to succeed in their academic, social and wellness domains. Associate will coordinate with academic, health and community resources to ensure individuals receive the necessary resources and accommodations needed for successful completion of higher education and/or engagement in employment.
Masters Degree in counseling,education, psychology, social work or rehabilitation required. Experience and knowledge of engagement and coaching strategies, supported education techniques, vocational rehabilitation, identity challenges, college mental health and wellness issues is a priority. Skills in collaborating, navigating, negotiating, and planning with other higher educational offices including financial aid, enrollment services, judicial affairs, health services, and office of disability services is desired. Knowledge of community rehabilitation resources is also important.
