Develop and manage successful sponsored student program.
Provide assistance and guidance to potential and current sponsored students including assistance through the application process, assisting with housing, providing information for arrival, etc.
Research new sponsor opportunities and develop and build relationships with those sponsoring agencies
Strengthen relationships with current sponsoring agencies
Host representatives from sponsor agencies.
Assist with developing and oversight of budget.
Develop and oversee activities and programs to help acculturate international students to the community and to provide cultural learning.
Facilitate meetings between students, faculty, and administration.
Implement and oversee the collection, maintenance and tabulation of data for sponsored student reports; evaluate and confirm accuracy; transmit to internal and external constituents.
Lead an advisory committee.
Assist sponsors with recruitment goals; building cooperative programs with partner organizations.
Assist with problem solving for sponsored students with offices of the cashiers, financial assistance, registrars, social security office, license bureau, etc.
International or domestic travel as needed to promote sponsored student program.
International student/activity participation.
Supervise staff responsible for activities and services provided by Sponsored Student Programs
Other duties as assigned
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Two or more years of experience in an area of student personnel or student programming development and administration.
International travel, working and/or living experience
Demonstrated management / leadership experience
Successful recruitment or sales experience
Experience with software – SLATE and PeopleSoft
Expressed desire to travel
Knowledge of one or more foreign languages
