Under direct supervision this role will be responsible for the preparation, review, and submission of sponsored program proposals. The Grants Coordinator B will act as a liaison with the School of Medicine, Path and Lab Medicine, and the Office of Research Services. The Grants Coordinator will manage a small portfolio of grants from pre-award to post -award. The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance of grant databases, develop reports to track financial performance, and monitor grant expenditures to ensure accounts remain in good standing. Under direct supervision, the Grants Coordinator will process purchase orders, C forms, and travel reimbursements; assist in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly BEN reports with departmental records of transactions for both agency and grant funds; maintain financial records/budgets; prepare, process and record journal entries via BEN electronic financial system; compile and summarize data for financial reports; track and clear waywards, suspense and anticipated resources transactions on a monthly basis; analyze revenue/expenses on residual accounts; provide support for pre-award proposal processing. The position requires one to provide oversight of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapy grant portfolio which includes NIH, Industry, and Foundation and Discretionary awards totaling approximately $50 mm. The Grants Coordinator must be able to track study payments through University systems and budget funds based on initial study proposal, coordinate allocated funding of payroll support for the clinical trials and research projects in CCI, and regularly follow up with the funding sponsor and vendors regarding invoice payments. Position reports to the Administration and Financial Officer and has a dotted line reporting to the PSOM Office of Research Support Services
