The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking an experienced adult cardiac surgeon for a faculty appointment as Section Chief in an academic setting. The successful candidate must posses superb surgical skills in cardiac surgery, ventricular assist devices and all aspects of adult cardiac surgery for a program whose cardiac case volume is 1400 per year with an active VAD and Transplant Program. Demonstrated research interest and publication record highly desirable. The candidate should also have academic pursuits and a CV reflecting these efforts.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Must be board certified in thoracic surgery and have a broad experience in cardiac surgery.
