ASSISTANT CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR , Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) (two openings), to assist OSP contract administrators and/or senior contract administrators and perform contract administration duties on their behalf. Duties include establishing an award based on sponsor terms and conditions, communicating award notifications and modifications to principal investigators and administrators and responding to their questions, processing modifications of awards, reviewing requests for payments to ensure allow ability per the sponsor, updating the award record to reflect modifications and extensions, creating child accounts, and providing backup support to departments when their contract administrator is out of the office. Will also serve as a resource to the MIT research community and interface with other central administrative offices on administrative matters related to sponsored programs and perform other duties as assigned, including working on special projects or serving on working groups or committees.
EQUIRED : a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, strong customer service skills, detail orientation, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
