This Application Development Specialist will be responsible for:
Providing support to the Epic Resolute Professional billing application that supports multiple departments throughout the hospital.
Researching and identifying the requirements of Epic's programmatic needs.
Analyzing vendor and internally developed solutions to meet the integrated needs of the project.
Specifying, designing, developing, building, testing and implementing software applications that support the needs of multiple projects considering the individual goals and objectives of each entity.
Participating in standards for development and software selection, and making application processing and design recommendations both within the department and to application users in the hospital.
Providing analytical and technical guidance to team members and clients.
Identifying requirements, developing application design, building, planning and executing testing, and ensuring that the application delivered meets specifications.
Working with reporting team validating report output, explaining system configuration as it relates to output, and quantifying impact/frequency of end user requests and reported issues.
Producing written documentation for new and existing processes, programs, build, applications and workflow.
Keeping internal end user documentation accurate and up to date.
Participating in cross departmental projects and upgrades.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through a completion of a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field and one or two years of experience.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
