The Department of Psychology at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment to begin in August 2018 in the area of human neuroscience. The successful candidate will teach intermediate and advanced courses in a specialty area for psychology majors and service courses such as Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, or Research Methods. The successful candidate will also contribute to the interdisciplinary minor in neuroscience by offering Introduction to Neuroscience, an intermediate course in neuroscience, and/or a capstone seminar in neuroscience in rotation with other faculty (http://holycross.edu/academics/programs/neuroscience). Faculty members in the Department of Psychology (http://holycross.edu/academics/programs/psychology) are expected to maintain an active program of independent research, to engage students in the research process, and to demonstrate a commitment to and excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring in the context of a liberal arts education.
This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a full-salary one-semester research leave prior to tenure review, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. Tenure track faculty are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs in accordance with the College’s published policies.
